wedding ala jawa?

yeah, saya la si jawa itu. both atok frm mak abah's side dua2 pun mmg pure jawa. yupp, mereka jawa totok. but since dh kawin dgn nenek2 yg xberapa jawa, so dh xbrape pure la jawa tersebut. nway, mak azam pun org jawa jgak. so basically we consider ourself as Javanese. ngeee.. very proud being one. walaupun setgh org ske make fun dgn bahase kitorg but wht to do. dh mmg mcm tu bunyik nye. im sure zaman dulu, org jawa pun pelik dgn bahase2 lain. to be honest, i sendiri xpandai ckp jawa. setakat siji loro telu tu pandai la. wes mangan/madang? haa.. reti jawap?

nway, i suddenly have this in mind. bukan la nk kawin ikut adat org jawa, but nk bring the culture a lil bit closer. kalo xsebelum ni bayangkan yg indah2 belaka. smpai lupe yg diri tu jawa. so, i planned to nikah at my house on friday the 23rd somewhere aftr asar. so far mak abah ok je. request utk dinikah kan oleh abah pun hampir tercapai. alhamdulillah, abah agree. serious mase mintak tu begging mcm nk gile. hehehe.. dh agak, abah mesti nervous. but for his n mine, lifetime experience, why not. lps ni abah dh xde anak pompuan lagi. i mean, utk dikahwinkan. azam pun sgt happy cz then he'll b less nervous cz die actually pun dh biase dgn abah.

ok now, how jawa do i want my special day to be. mayb in terms of the elements. n tidak la akan dipraktikan mase bersanding. but dianggarkan waktu malam berinai would b great. hey, i wont wear those scary jawa outfit eh. (maaf jika ia sikit sensitif tp to me baju kawin org jawa agak menakut kan. especially the bride. lukisan2 rambut tu je dh mcm nk mkn org) budget, an ordinary kebaya indonesia should b nice enough. lps tu bole pakai lagi lain kali. same goes to azam. i just want him to wear the ordinary baju batik with just seluar slack hitam. duduk main kawin2 atas mini pelamin. n join the crowd. nk linger2 dgn guest while swaying to the unique sound of java music.

Dian sastro mmg cantik. but the baju's (especially yg groom die pakai) n the hair do, is a big no no.

this is actually how a jawa's pelamin should b. but xmo la. i prefer it simple.

the outfit

uww.. design ni cantik. only if the blouse were in brown. something like nude brown. weee...

ni pun super drop dead gorgeous. n yeah same cm yg kt atas. i wish its brown in color.

n azam is to wear something that looks a lil' like this.

decorations, something brown-ish of cz. with a lil' compliments by bunga2  harum sundal malam and candles. perfect!

 little pelamin for my little house

makanan, pecal, a must have. soto n what not biar pakar jawa yg decide. guest yg blk, msti dibawakkan berkat. n so far itu je la style jawa yg dpt difikirkan. weekend ni ade wedding cuzie kt kampung. jap lagi nk join wak2 kat kampung tu pstu nk interview skit. hehehe.. loving my new idea!
